Thank you for asking, Josh! I am currently working on a new segment for that and I will be adding photos of me to it as well. Stay tuned! :-)

You love hockey and lived in LA for 15 years, not a Kings fan??????

Being in Florida the hockey must be limited. How did you end up a Red Wings fan?

I am a Pittsburgh fan because even though I don’t live there I was born there and learned to watch sports with my Dad. With the Steelers it is easy the Pirates are tough to swallow, and the Pens have made it great with Mario and now Geno and Sid the Kid!!!!!

Loving the number 8 were you ever a Dale Jr fan in NASCAR??????

Actually, I have a King’s hat and flag right behind my back as I sit here at my desk. I have a small, quiet love for the Kings. But all in all, I feel the LA Kings to be a place where players’ careers go to die, or as I call it, the “Graveyard” of the NHL. I was born in Rhode Island, so Boston has been my #1 team for years, but I have grown to really love and respect the Red Wings…plus my Mom was from Detroit, so I paid attention to them for her, as I do the Tigers. As I do the Yankees for my Dad, even though I am a total Red Sox fan! Makes me miss them less, I guess. It’s funny how we come to love the things that we do, eh?

I agree. After my parents divorced I was out of contact with my father for about 15 years. I was military and traveling and really pissed about the divorce. It took the Steelers winning the Superbowl XL and me posting a letter on a website for my father to find me.

Since then I have gotten back in touch with him and now we keep in touch. I have met a lot of my relatives from his side of the family that I have been out of touch with for almost 20 years. Most of them still live in Pittsburgh. Living in Alaska it is hard for me to travel there, but with facebook I have had a great opportunity to keep in touch with them.

Sometimes it is amazing how something like sports works in ones life.

David, thank you for sharing that heartwarming story with us. The Internet is truly a wonderful thing. Not even 2 months after my mother died, I found her birth family online…and this was 13 years ago! It was like I was able to piece together my mother’s life for her, even after her death.

I wish you and your family many, many years of love, wealth and happiness. You truly deserve it. :-)
