I just can't believe it!

Patrick Swayze died today of pancreatic cancer. He was 57 years old.

Swayze “passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” his publicist, Annett Wolf.

“If I leave this Earth, I want to leave this Earth just knowing I’ve tried to give something back and tried to do something worthwhile with myself.” Swayze told Barbara Walters. “And that keeps me going, that gets me up in the morning. My work … is my legacy.”

And a legacy it is. No One will ever forget Patrick or the talent he brought to the screen in such films as Road House, Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and one of my all-time favorites; “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar”, among countless others.

Thank you for everything you gave to us, Patrick. You will never be forgotten.
