Brittany Murphy’s Death Ruled Accidental And Preventable.

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

brittany-murphyPoor Brittany Murphy.  She didn’t get the right medical treatment in time. Pneumonia can do that to you. Hell, walking pneumonia can be almost indetectable with hardly any symptoms. Anyway, to quote TMZ, “Brittany Murphy’s death was accidental, the L.A. County Coroner determined, TMZ reports.

According to the coroner’s findings, the 32-year-old died of community acquired pneumonia, iron deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication — which included prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

The report also indicated that her death was “preventable.” TMZ says that her pneumonia was “treatable,” but she wasn’t taken to the doctor in time.”

Such a terrible loss for Hollywood, but even moreso for Brittany.

RIP, girlfriend. ♥

R.I.P. Patrick Swayze

Monday, September 14th, 2009
I just can't believe it!

I just can't believe it!

Patrick Swayze died today of pancreatic cancer. He was 57 years old.

Swayze “passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” his publicist, Annett Wolf.

“If I leave this Earth, I want to leave this Earth just knowing I’ve tried to give something back and tried to do something worthwhile with myself.” Swayze told Barbara Walters. “And that keeps me going, that gets me up in the morning. My work … is my legacy.”

And a legacy it is. No One will ever forget Patrick or the talent he brought to the screen in such films as Road House, Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and one of my all-time favorites; “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar”, among countless others.

Thank you for everything you gave to us, Patrick. You will never be forgotten.

We lost Mrs. Slocombe AND Mr. Humphries!

Mollie Sugden 1922-2009

What an awesome comedic actress. I loved Mollie most as Mrs. Slocombe in  the much-loved british comedy “Are You Being Served”  that was on TV an astonishing 13 years from 1972 to 1985.  She also had roles on such shows as “Grace and Favour”,  ”Coronation Street”, “Benny Hill” and countless others.

I have fond memories of watching this show with my dad and it breaks my heart a little more each time I lose something I once shared with him. Please enjoy the wonderful tribute to Mollie below:

John Inman 1935-2007

John Inman was also a part of the cast of “Are You Being Served”. He was the hilarious and vivacious “Mr. Humphries. Nothing makes fans of this show laugh harder than two little words; “I’m free!” Here is a clip John Inman fans are sure to love:

May you both rest in peace. I hope you are up there together, creating laughs for everyone in heaven.

Good Memories of Michael Jackson

R.I.P Michael Jackson 1958-2009

Michael Jackson The Simpsons – MJ’s guest appearance was one of the most mysterious and closely guarded secrets in Hollywood…lol, ok there were always alot of rumors and it took everyone involved quite a while to actually admit that it was indeed Michael Jackson. In this episode Leon Kompowsky is a patient who is in the same mental hospital that Homer finds himself in and Leon is convinced he is Michael Jackson.

Jackson 5 on ABC – This is the video recording of Michael with his Jackson Five group performing ABC on ABC (of all things…LOL!) with Wink Martindale. This was the song that put the Jackson 5 on the music map!

And of course, this is Michael in the Thriller video- I was just a kid when this video came out and Mtv was just getting going. This video blew my mind and the minds of my generation. The Thriller album forever changed the face of pop music and its place in music history.

Thank you for taking the time to view these memories of Michael Jackson. We will truly miss him.

Remembering Farrah Fawcett

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

This category on my blog will be dedicated to those celebrities that have recently left us. My parents always believed that you should remember people the way that they were and not how they died, or what they looked like when they died, etc. but what they were at their brightest, most finest hour. Always remember the good times because they are what gets you through the bad ones. Or so I’m told…

R.I.P Farrah Fawcett 1947-2009

Farrah Fawcett on The Dating Game – And such a young beauty here, too. Just wait until you hear how stupid the guys sound…I mean really, did men think this kind of behavior was smooth and alluring? *Sigh* Poor Farrah in this one, mmmmkayy?farrahdatinggame

Farrah on Johnny Bravo-This cartoon is hilarious to begin with, but then they add Farrah to it and make it even better!

And of course, Farrah on Charlie’s Angels – This is the pilot episode of this much beloved show.

So that is my purpose with this category, to make sure that in the light of a celebrity’s death, no matter HOW they died, that we remember them the way that they were. The way they were when we fell in love with them.

Thanks for looking….and thank you for remembering these dearly departed celebrities with me!
